Jamie brings up the question everyone is thinking in Outlander Book 5, Chapter 110

While Outlander Book 5, Chapter 110 starts with a funeral, there is something much bigger to bring up. It’s all about whether Roger and Brianna will go back to their own time.

One thing that had been keeping the MacKenzies in the past was Jemmy. Nobody knew if he’d have the ability to time travel, but that was cleared up in the previous chapter. Now that they knew, would Roger and Brianna risk the journey through the stones to take Jemmy back to their own time?

It’s a question that nobody really wants to ask, but it’s one that Jamie brings up. And it’s not a question to both Roger and Brianna. Only Roger is the one to come up with an answer. He’s the one that Jamie directs the question to. He is the man of the MacKenzie family after all.

This chapter was changed considerably in the Outlander TV series. I didn’t mind the change. In fact, I never felt like it was a waste of an episode because it told me one thing about Roger and Brianna. I’ll get to my thoughts in the adaptation section.

There is a bit of foreshadowing in the chapter, though. Eventually, the topic of time travel has to come up again, and I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.

Let’s dive into The Fiery Cross Chapter 110.
