Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with Jamie and Roger getting to Wylie’s Landing. There is a lot to take in here, including a group of Russians in the area. Why are there Russians there? We’ll get to find out later in the chapter, but they are connected to Wylie.

Lillywhite turns up and is surprised to find Roger there. He ends up locking Roger and the Russians up, but Jamie is still outside. That gives everyone the chance to escape, and it’s now clear that Lillywhite is involved in Bonnet’s smuggling operations. He must have been the one who was at Jocasta’s home the night she was attacked—the one who didn’t speak because Jocasta would have recognized the voice.

Jamie and Roger come across some of Wylie’s slaves, and that’s when they’re taken to Wylie. He still has no idea about the smuggling operation, but he does know why the Russians are there. They’ve brought Russian boar over for him to hunt. He’s heard that Russian boar are notoriously difficult to hunt. He’s never hunted a boar at all, so he decides to start with the hardest!

Lillywhite does end up attacking again. He and Roger fight, and Roger ends up killing Lillywhite by piercing the sword through his eye. One thing they do find out is that Bonnet is in Wilmington. That’s not good news.
