Jamie and Roger head to Wylie’s Landing in Outlander Book 5, Chapter 102

It’s time for Jamie and Roger to face Stephen Bonnet in Outlander Book 5, Chapter 102. At least, that’s their plan.

Of course, the best-laid plans don’t always work out. The trap the two men set doesn’t work out for them, but they do get to find out where Bonnet is. They also get to know a little more about Bonnet’s operation.

There are a couple of characters from previous chapters who turn up. With them heading to Wylie’s landing, there’s one particular character that you just know to expect: Philip Wylie. He’s not the only one there, though, and it turns out that Wylie isn’t connected to Bonnet after all. Of course, there’s still something about Wylie that I don’t trust!

The chapter was partly used in the TV series. A particular character that shows p in the chapter wasn’t brought into the show, and that makes sense. After all, the show opted to condense Bonnet’s storyline to just this season instead of including it in Outlander Season 6. Having just a smaller guest star for one episode also made more sense in terms of cost. I’ll get to all that in the adaptation section.

Is there foreshadowing? It’s more like plot development, but I’ll get to it.
