Outlander Book Club: The Fiery Cross Chapter 93 breakdown
It’s time to save Jamie’s life and leg fully in Outlander Book 5, Chapter 93
One thing Jamie made clear he didn’t want happening was losing his leg. That changed in Outlander Book 5, Chapter 93.
This is a heavy chapter, full of fear and almost loss. We get this sense that Jamie is going to choose to die rather than be crippled, but all that changes in an instant. Then there’s the fear that he’ll lose his leg.
Brianna is on the case, though. Once she finds out what Claire needs, she works out a way to create a syringe to help save her father’s life. I still love how Jamie’s life is saved by all three other main characters at this point in the story. Roger, Claire, and Brianna all play important parts.
The chapter was used in the series. There’s no way it couldn’t be used. However, there was something in the series added since Young Ian had returned, and I absolutely adored the addition in the episode. I’ll get to that in the adaptation section.
I don’t see all that much foreshadowing, though. This is focused on the moment, saving Jamie’s life. There is maybe a tiny moment of foreshadowing when it comes to Brianna and what she can do at the Ridge.
Let’s dive into The Fiery Cross Chapter 93.
