It’s all about Buffalo and Jamie’s leg in Outlander Book 5, Chapter 92

The chapter starts with the focus on the buffalo that the women killed during the previous chapter. Then Outlander Book 5, Chapter 92 moves the focus back onto Jamie’s leg.

There are some humorous moments in the chapter, helping to ease some of the tension and fear about Jamie at this point. We get a chance to see how the men react to taking orders from Brianna, only for them to realize who she is. It helps that there are a couple of men willing to take orders and make it clear the others should follow suit.

After that, the focus is on Jamie’s leg. There is a little bit of hope during the chapter. There’s a chance that his life (and leg) can be saved. That doesn’t mean Claire hasn’t stopped being cautious.

That chapter was partly used in the series. We didn’t see how the men reacted to getting the buffalo butchered, but we did see part of the process in trying to save Jamie’s leg. It was the latter part of the chapter that was the most important, so this isn’t surprising.

There’s a little bit of foreshadowing, too. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.

Let’s dive into The Fiery Cross Chapter 92.
