After getting its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival and wow’d at TIFF, Belfast is getting a special Northern Irish premiere. It’s only fitting considering its subject.

Outlander‘s Caitriona Balfe stars as Ma in the black-and-white movie. It’s a semi-autobiographical movie based on Sir Kenneth Branagh’s life, looking at one working-class family as the Troubles become a threat to everyone’s lives. Balfe will star opposite Jamie Dornan, Dame Judi Dench, and Ciaran Hinds.

The story is told from the eyes of Ma and Pa’s son, Buddy. He just wants to enjoy childhood, but there are fights breaking out and trouble brewing. He doesn’t get the carefree upbringing when all the adults are starting to argue.

Belfast is coming home for its Northern Irish premiere

While the movie has already had its worldwide premiere, the Northern Irish premiere is much more fitting and special. The movie will premiere at the Belfast Film Festival, which takes place from Nov. 4 to Nov. 13.

For those in the city or in surrounding areas, the tickets are now on sale for most events. However, tickets for this particular movie won’t be available to purchase until 10 a.m. local on Friday, Oct. 8, according to The Irish News.

It’s a special moment for the director and creator of the movie. Branagh had hoped that the movie would get a chance to shine at “home.” It only makes sense considering the topic of the movie.

It’s not clear who out of the cast will attend the premiere. We’re hoping to see a number of the main cast members, including Balfe. This will depend on whether the film festival clashes with any Outlander promotion she’s contracted to do.

Belfast will get its Northern Irish premiere at Belfast Film Festival between Nov. 4 and Nov. 13.
