The Nevers Season 1, Part 2 is not coming to HBO in October 2021

We’ve looked through the full list of arrivals on HBO and HBO Max in October 2021, but The Nevers Season 1, Part 2 definitely isn’t there.

If we’re completely honest, we didn’t expect to see the show on the list of arrivals. While Gossip Girl Season 1, Part 2 is arriving around Thanksgiving and premiered later than The Nevers, the HBO Max series didn’t see a change of showrunner partway through the first season.

Joss Whedon left the project after the first six episodes. It’s meant a change of showrunner, a change of pace, and a break while things were worked out. The show is now filming, but there hasn’t been enough time to get the next six episodes in time for October 2021.

The Nevers Season 1, Part 2 release date predictions

We’re actually looking 2022 as a release date for The Nevers Season 1, Part 2. This will mean that it’s not going to offer much help for the current Droughtlander. After all, Outlander Season 6 is arriving in early 2022.

The six episodes may offer some relief during the next Droughtlander, though.

Filming on the second set of episodes started in June 2021. With only six episodes, there is a chance that it will be finished sometime this month. It’s going to depend on pandemic protocols, though. We could see filming until the end of the year.

After that, there is the post-production work. There is a lot to do on a show like this. Not only will work be needed to transform modern-day UK into the Victorian era (getting rid of all those drain pipes!) but there are also the visual effects for a supernatural series.

With that in mind, we could be looking at sometime around April or May 2022 at the earliest. That would mean the episodes are ready for just as Outlander Season 6 finishes airing.
