During the previous episode, Michael and Jimmy started war between the various crime families in Ireland. Of course, it was always going to end up in disaster. We know that the Kinsellas are going to hit rock bottom before they even stand a chance of working their way back up.

Rock bottom starts in this episode. Eamon Cunningham has blacklisted the whole family. They’ve lost everything now, including access to cash. Jimmy may regret his actions from a couple of episodes ago when Frank gave him some money.

Is there a way to win it all back? They’ll need to work together to go up against Cunningham.

Amanda takes matters into her own hands in Kin Season 1, Episode 4

Amanda isn’t going to sit back and watch. Clare Dunne shows us the modern-day wife in an Irish crime family, while Maria Doyle Kennedy gives us the wife of the past. Kennedy’s Birdy is more than happy to use her brain on the sly, while the men think they’re the ones in charge. Birdy isn’t stupid, but she also isn’t willing to rock the boat.

Amanda doesn’t care. She’s lost her son and she’s devastated, so she didn’t care about putting the hit out in the previous episode.

Now she’s going after Cunningham. She wants to make sure Cunningham is left without anything, but she needs the family on board for this.
