You can check out the full list of shows on Netflix to see where this show lands. You’ll also find 24 other shows to check out during Droughtlander.
But why should you watch this one particular series? There are a few great reasons.
Why watch Sex Education during Droughtlander
There is one big reason to watch the series. It has an Outlander guest star in it. Tanya Reynolds plays Lily, originally just a side character in the first season but has gained some major development over the course of the second and third seasons. She’s nothing like Isobel Dunsany on Outlander.
Then there are just the messages within the show. This is one about teenagers figuring out their bodies, their way to connect with other people, and their own sexualities. It’s a progressive and inclusive show, and it’s hilarious at the same time.
You’ll recognize some of the other stars of the series. Gillian Anderson plays the mother of the lead male character. She’s a sex therapist who is all about making sure the teenagers are equipped with the right knowledge, even if some of the other parents and teachers don’t think it’s suitable. You’ll also recognize Asa Butterfield, who plays the lead character, Otis. He was the little Nazi boy in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
