Outlander Season 5 is not coming to Netflix in September 2021

If you were hoping to drop one of your subscriptions, you’ll want to keep STARZ for now. It’s still the only way to stream Outlander Season 5 online.

We’ve double-checked the full list for Netflix, but only got bad news. Outlander Season 5 is not listed.

If we’re honest, that’s not all too surprising. However, it means STARZ remains the only place you can stream the series online. You can buy the episodes on Digital, but STARZ is the only subscription service with the fifth season of the series.

Just how long are we waiting for Outlander Season 5 on Netflix? We don’t have the exact date just yet, but we can make a prediction.

As of right now, we don’t know when the season will drop on Netflix. Only four seasons are available as of right now, and that’s the way we’re expecting it to stay for some time. This is only in the U.S., by the way. We know that other locations already have the fifth season on Netflix!

It looks like the seasons are available in full two years after the finale airs on STARZ. That’s been the case for both the third and fourth seasons of the series, so we’re looking at May 10, 2022 as the release date for Outlander Season 5 on Netflix.

The two-year timeframe makes sense. Droughtlanders are long, and STARZ isn’t going to want to lose subscribers. By keeping the season exclusive to STARZ until the next season is available, it helps to give people a reason to remain on the smaller app. Otherwise, people would just cancel because most already have Netflix for other shows anyway.
