Are SAS: Red Notice and SAS: Rise of the Black Swan the same movie?
SAS: Rise of the Black Swan is heading to Netflix at the end of the week. It stars Sam Heughan, but it’s not another new movie. You already know it by another name.
When you saw a Sam Heughan movie coming to Netflix in August, you likely got excited. It’s always fun to see our favorite Outlander actors in other roles.
You then read the description of the movie. Didn’t it sound familiar? Haven’t you already seen it? But you don’t recognize the name, so what’s going on?
SAS: Rise of the Black Swan is about an SAS solider who is traveling to Paris with his girlfriend. They’re on vacation, but that is cut short when a group of criminals takes the Channel Tunnel train hostage. Yes, you know it.
SAS: Rise of the Black Swan is SAS: Red Notice
The synopsis of the movie will sound a lot like SAS: Red Notice. The actors in the movie are the same. Yes, the two movies are the exact same movie.
Like what happens with many movies, SAS: Red Notice got a name change when it went to Netflix. It’s now known as SAS: Rise of the Black Swan.
It’s not 100% clear why that is. Sometimes, it’s linked to licensing agreements. It could also be due to legal issues in a country or to avoid confusion with another movie that’s on a streaming platform. In this case, we’re don’t too sure what’s going on, but it doesn’t matter all that much. Just know that if you’ve watched SAS: Red Notice, you’ve already seen SAS: Rise of the Black Swan.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t watch the movie again. If you enjoyed it the first time, you’ll enjoy it the second time!
Didn’t get a chance to watch Red Notice? Why not check out SAS: Rise of the Black Swan when it comes to Netflix on Friday, Aug. 27?
