Just the Outlander chapter

Roger is in bed with Brianna. He thinks about working around the farms to call the men to arms, and he thinks about helping with the farms. It’s all hands on deck right now, making sure there are no problems for the spring and summer due to the Regulators and Tryon’s orders.

While thinking about planting, he thinks about the Reverend. He remembers the time of saying goodnight to everyone while doing his prayers, and those people included those who had passed on. He spends some time working through the list of people while in bed, starting with Reverend Wakefield and Mrs. Graham. He thinks about Fiona and Ernie, two people he left behind in the present day.

His thoughts move onto Brianna’s dream journal. He realizes that Brianna thinks of rough sex, and he can’t help but wonder if that’s to do with Stephen Bonnet. Is it possible that there are some thoughts about him and that she enjoyed something about it?

Those thoughts are pushed to one side, though, as he goes outside. He can hear Claire and Jamie, with Jamie making it clear that he needs Claire in his bed. There are also sounds of men in the distance but the changing wind direction stops him hearing them. Roger says goodnight to Claire and Jamie, and to Brianna. When he goes back into the cabin, he makes sure Jemmy has his ragdoll and says goodnight.
