Outlander Season 5 is not coming to Netflix in August 2021

Right now, you can watch the first four seasons of Outlander on Netflix. All eyes are on when Outlander Season 5 will arrive. It’s not going to be next month.

We’ve double-checked the list of Netflix releases twice, just in case we missed something. Sadly, Outlander Season 5 is definitely not coming to Netflix in August 2021.

If we’re honest, we didn’t expect it to arrive. However, with Droughtlander still going, we had hoped there would be some positive news with the arrival on Netflix. This isn’t a slight at Outlander fans but just business.

We don’t have confirmation of when the fifth season will arrive. However, we can make a prediction based on the releases of previous seasons.

Outlander Season 5 on Netflix release date

We’re not looking at Outlander Season 5 coming to Netflix any time in 2021. Of course, everyone could surprise us, but it’s highly unlikely that the season will be available this year.

The Netflix releases for Seasons 3 and 4 have been two years from the finale dates airing on STARZ. Outlander Season 5 aired on STARZ on May 10, 2020, which means we’re looking at May 10, 2022 as the release date on Netflix.

This is as long as the contract between Netflix and STARZ still stands. CEO Jeremy Hirsch didn’t really like the deal, but there’s no denying just how good it has been for the series. Season 5 was the most-watched season of the series, and part of that will be to do with so many fans finding the show on Netflix.

We’ll likely see Season 6 come to STARZ before the fifth season comes to Netflix. This isn’t surprising. Until Season 6 premieres, STARZ will want to make sure something is exclusive to its service to keep subscribers.
