Clanlands Almanac release date: Now available to pre-order
Recently we got the great news that a second Clanlands book by Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish is coming. Now, we have a release date for the new book, Clanlands Almanac: Season Stories from Scotland, and where you can pre-order it.
I don’t think you’ll hear anyone complaining that we’re getting a second Clanlands book! Sam and Graham’s dynamic shined in the first Clanlands book and in their show, Men in Kilts. This duo is the perfect creative match.
While a second season of Men in Kilts hasn’t been confirmed yet (fingers crossed we get news soon!), the journey through Scotland isn’t over yet. And that’s all thanks to Sam and Graham.
Clanlands Almanac will be hitting bookshelves soon and is now available to pre-order.
When is the Clanlands Almanac release date?
Clanlands Almanac: Season Stories from Scotland will be available in bookstores on Nov. 9, 2021. That’s only four months away!
In a recent Instagram Live, Sam and Graham talked a bit about the new book and what we can expect. One exciting piece of news is that they’ll be able to do live signings this year!
My guess is they’ll definitely do some the day the book is released on Nov. 9. This will probably either happen in the UK first since they both live there or it could be in the U.S. Who knows, they might also travel internationally. These two are always full of surprises.
Since they couldn’t do any book signings with the first Clanlands book due to the pandemic, I’m sure they’ll be taking advantage of being able to meet fans at different spots.
Where can I pre-order Clanlands Almanac?
Based on the Clanlands book website, there are a few options where you can get the book in advance. If you live in the U.S. you can pre-order through Barnes & Noble, Waterstones in the UK, and Indigo in Canada. Australia and New Zealand residents can also pre-order the book. Of course, Amazon is also an option.
During the Instagram Live, they also mentioned another audiobook is coming. I have to say, these two both have great narrating voices! This will once again be a great companion piece to the book.
What is Clanlands Almanac about?
Sam and Graham also gave us an idea of what to expect in the book during the live. It’s a seasonal tour through Scotland over 12 months (which is why it’s called Clanlands Almanac). We can expect anecdotes (some possibly embarrassing), facts about clans, whisky, and famous and infamous Scots.
Each month will celebrate something happening in Scotland like Hogmanay. Or there’s the most important month of all—April for Sam’s birthday.
The book will also provide more insight into Men in Kilts and talk about its filming. This is especially great because the first Clanlands book focused on the pilot episode. But now, we get more behind-the-scenes information about the show in general and possibly learn about things that were cut out due to time.
