What is Outlander Season 6 about?
Outlander Season 6 is set to premiere sometime in early 2022. Which book in the series will the season cover, and what is the season going to be about?
We’re eagerly anticipating Outlander Season 6. The season is shorter than initially planned, but at least we now have an idea of when it will arrive. We know that it’s coming in early 2022, and Sam Heughan has shared that it’s sometime in February.
Now all eyes are going to be on what the season is about. We can’t say for definite, of course. After all, we have no idea what the writers have planned for the season, but there are some storylines that we know are going to happen in the season based on the characters that have been cast.
We take a look at the book the season is likely based on and what could happen in the season.
Outlander Season 6 is based on A Breath of Snow and Ashes
The majority of the season is going to be focused on A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Of course, there is a chance that some of the other books could be used. This has been done in the past, and we all know that some storylines from the sixth book were used during Outlander Season 5.
However, the majority of Season 5 was focused on the fifth book. We can expect the same for the sixth season. One of the big storylines we’re expecting is everything involving the Christies.
We know that the Christies have been cast. That means we’ll get to see the drama the family brings, and there is going to be a lot. There are rumored love triangles, incest, and much more.
On top of that, we’ll see Brianna and Roger move forward with their lives. Roger needs to find something to do at the Ridge, and it looks like he’s going to find his calling during Outlander Season 6. That is if a certain church being spotted is anything to judge.
With only eight episodes, there’s no way the whole of A Breath of Snow and Ashes will be used. There were four other episodes planned, but they’ve been moved to Season 7. It’s not clear exactly what those episodes would have entailed, but we’ll get to find out very soon.
