Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter opens with Roger returning from the wedding he agreed to perform at. He’d agreed to it while at the Gathering, and now he’s back with songs in his head.

The first thing he does is pick up a book to make a note of all the words from the unfamiliar songs. It turns out that this is something he always does. It’s important for him to do so that he can get the lyrics out. And he’s chosen Jamie’s study to do that in. Jamie is there for some of it, but he doesn’t interrupt and that’s something Roger likes.

After that, he starts looking through the books on the shelves. Brianna’s sketchbooks are there, and he knows that Bree won’t mind him looking through them. She’s never minded him doing that. However, it’s not a sketchbook that he picks up.

Instead, he picks up a book with writing. Brianna has been writing about her dreams, and Roger can’t help but look through them.

He gets to a dream about Brianna with Roger one night making love. However, Brianna explains how Roger turns into Stephen Bonnet, and that shook her for the rest of the night. Nobody else was awake, but she struggled to get back to sleep.

During the recount of the dream, she mentions that she knows Roger’s secret name, and that’s something she now needs to remember.
