Richard Rankin has a stage production coming up

With filming for Outlander Season 6 at an end, the stars are looking at projects during the break. Richard Rankin has one of those coming up.

The Outlander stars all have their own projects coming up. This is normal during breaks in filming. It happens for many actors on all TV shows as they get breaks in filming and a chance to spread their wings.

For Richard Rankin, it’s all about returning to the stage. With Broadway, the West End, and more theaters opening up, it’s time for stage productions to happen again. It’s exciting to see actors get back to the stage, which certainly requires some very different acting styles compared to TV shows and movies. After all, every night is a live and different performance!

We don’t have any details about the upcoming stage production just yet. You’ll be forgive if you missed any sort of announcement, as it’s actually happened through announcements of canceled convention appearances.

Richard Rankin is no longer attending multiple Outlander conventions

Sadly, due to the change in his work commitments, Richard Rankin has had to cancel some convention appearances.

He was supposed to attend Outlander Vancouver Seattle in October and then Sasnak City: The Gathering in November. Convention appearances may be booked in advance, but there are always clauses in the contracts for the actors to cancel appearances if filming or production needs come up.

Sometimes, the actors will try to work around commitments to attend for at least a day. However, there are times that the entire appearance needs to be canceled, and that’s what has happened in both of these instances.

It is disappointing, but it’s why we say not to attend a convention purely for one actor. Plus, it’s always exciting to see the careers of our favorite Outlander actors growing.
