Outlander Book Club: The Fiery Cross Chapter 33 breakdown
Brianna is annoyed at Roger but he doesn’t understand why in Outlander Book 5, Chapter 33
Roger returns home in Outlander Book 5, Chapter 33. It’s almost time for Christmas, and something Roger has completely forgotten about. However, that’s not what Brianna gets mad about in the chapter.
This chapter is told from Roger’s point of view, and it’s hard not to feel sorry for him. He can’t figure out why Brianna is so mad at him, and she struggles to explain it at first. In fact, she’s mad that he can’t figure it out. I’m sure many of us have been like this with our partners at some point, and I did find the chapter amusing as I felt sorry for Roger.
There isn’t much in the way of foreshadowing within the chapter. At least, not that I could spot. This chapter is mostly about catching Roger up on what Brianna did at the house, something that we got a glimpse of in one chapter. We can suspect that there was much more of that one chapter.
This chapter wasn’t used in Outlander Season 5. I don’t really blame the series for not including it. As amusing as it is, I don’t think it was needed for the show. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation breakdown.
Let’s dive into The Fiery Cross Chapter 33.
