The Outlander stars’ filmographies continue to grow. Caitriona Balfe has another period drama in the works. She’s reportedly set to star in Pride and Prejudice on Netflix.

According to Pioneer Scoop, Caitriona Balfe has another project in the works. Just like her Outlander co-star Sam Heughan, she’s working on growing her filmography while still working on the STARZ series.

Balfe will reportedly star in Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice adaptation that is set to star Lily James in the lead role. It’s not yet clear who Balfe will play on the series, but she could be one of the sisters or a member of the High Society. Helena Bonham Carter and Eleanor Tomlinson are also reported to star in the series.

There is very little known about the adaptation so far. Only Pioneer Scoop is reporting the news, which makes it much harder to get all the information in place and confirm the truth.

What does Caitriona Balfe in Pride and Prejudice mean for Outlander?

Of course, when we find out that one of the Outlander stars is connected to another show or movie, it’s common to worry about what it means for our series. Surely the leads landing other roles means there’s a risk of Outlander coming to an end.

The two leads routinely state that they’re in Outlander until the end. The other projects are done when Outlander isn’t filming. We know that Heughan’s upcoming movie Everest will start filming n January 2022. Pride and Prejudice started filming in May 2021, although Balfe wouldn’t have been fully available until recently when Outlander Season 6 filming wrapped.

There’s no reason to worry about the stars leaving our series just yet. Not only are they under contract, but they are fully committed to the series for as long as it takes to finish up the story of Claire and Jamie.
