Outlander Season 5 is not coming to Netflix in June 2021

There are many Outlander fans looking to watch the show on Netflix. Outlander Season 5 should eventually hit, but it’s not coming in June 2021.

While Outlander is a STARZ series, the first four seasons are now available to stream on Netflix. Seasons have slowly been added since the first two joined in May 2019.

The move was arguably a smart one. When it comes to streaming platforms, Netflix is the biggest. People find older shows all the time through this platform, and there are many new fans to the Outlander TV series because of the inclusion on Netflix.

Former STARZ CEO Chris Albrecht knew how to find the audience and bring that audience to STARZ. Current CEO Jeremy Hirsch didn’t like the idea, but it looks like the contract for the series has been renewed because we’re up to four seasons on the streamer. Now we’re just waiting for Outlander Season 5 to join.

Outlander Season 5 won’t come to Netflix for some time

The season isn’t on the list of June releases on Netflix. That’s not all that surprising if I’m honest. It’s far too early for the season to join Netflix.

Based on the releases of Seasons 3 and 4 on Netflix, we’re looking at the full season to come to Netflix two years after the finales air on STARZ. The Outlander Season 5 finale aired on May 10, 2020. With that in mind, we’re looking at the show joining the streamer on May 10, 2022.

It is a long wait, but you can watch the full season on STARZ still. This will also be the home for Outlander Season 6 when it’s ready, which is likely to be early 2022.

Still, we’ll keep an eye on the listings on Netflix each month just in case there’s a big surprise.
