With coming to an end of Drums of Autumn, many people are asking about starting Outlander Book 5, The Fiery Cross. When will we start?
We will continue with The Fiery Cross with our Outlander Book Club. However, it’s not going to be right away. Like with what I’ve done between other books, I’m going to take about a week or two off between the books.
This break will allow those who got behind to catch up. It also gives me time to get ready for the fifth book. This wasn’t an easy one to get through at the very beginning!
We’ll start The Fiery Cross on Monday, May 3.
Will we continue with the Outlander Book Club after?
Another question I’m getting a lot is whether we’ll continue with the other books after The Fiery Cross. As you know, we have an adaptation section and while there were some elements of A Breath of Snow and Ashes used in the fifth season, the rest of it is being kept for Outlander Season 6.
I doubt the sixth season will be out before we get through The Fiery Cross. We will eventually do A Breath of Snow and Ashes but it’s going to be after Outlander Season 6 airs.
Will we do Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone?
I’m not speeding up the process of a chapter a day, especially with not doing A Breath of Snow and Ashes before Outlander Season 6 airs. So, we won’t get through books six, seven, and eight before Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone is released in November.
I’m also not going to break down Bees chapter by chapter in the exact same way as I have done with the first set of books. We don’t have the series.
What I am thinking of doing is jumping straight to Bees after The Fiery Cross. I’ll work through chapter by chapter but only break down those chapters. There won’t be the adaptation or the foreshadowing sections, but I’m working on the details for it still. This is only if there’s interest in it, so make sure you let me know in the comments if you want that!
