Roger and Brianna finally spend some time together in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 67

When Claire and Jamie are away, the children will play. Roger and Brianna finally get a chance to spend some time together in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 67.

Granted, the two have had time together. Something we find out in the chapter is that Brianna has visited Roger, but she flinches at his touch. It takes some understanding words from Claire to help Roger get to the bottom of it.

That’s when he decides to finally visit Bree and the baby at the cabin. Claire and Jamie are away, giving him a chance to find out if he is who Brianna still wants. There are a lot of questions for both of them.

This wasn’t a chapter that made it into the show. It didn’t even really get into the fifth season, which did see Bree and Roger question a few things. I’ll get to why I think that was and how I feel about it in the adaptation section.

There isn’t too much foreshadowing in this chapter. It simply pushes the plot forward a little more to wrap up the important storylines before the end of the novel.
