It’s time for the Fraser family to head back to Fraser’s Ridge in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 65

First of all, I’m sorry it’s taken longer than it should have for Outlander Book 4, Chapter 65. This was supposed to be up on Friday, but a lot of things happened to prevent that. Better late than never, though, right?

As much as Jocasta doesn’t want to see Baby Fraser leave River Run, it’s time for everyone to go back home. Now they wait to see if Roger will return, but first, they talk names.

Claire has to fill out the birth certificate. I’m actually quite surprised Claire bothered with a birth certificate since it wasn’t used back then. There were laws passed in various colonies to track baptisms, marriages, and deaths, but it didn’t really become common practice.

I guess it’s just the 1960s version of Claire coming through. Or maybe it is the foreshadowing element of the chapter. Yes, I will get to that in the foreshadowing adaptation.

Of course, this chapter was not used for Outlander Season 4. In a way, I’m not surprised about that. I don’t even think it would have come up had the show opted to keep the book storyline the same. I’ll break down my theories for that in the adaptation section.

Overall, this is a short chapter. It gets us ready for Roger to be reunited with Brianna.

Let’s dive into Drums of Autumn Chapter 65.
