Brianna faces Bonnet after getting a letter from Jamie in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 62

Brianna has the chance to face Stephen Bonnet in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 62. This isn’t about getting revenge, though. It’s all about closure.

The chapter also helps to wrap up another storyline in the book, a storyline we didn’t necessarily realize needed wrapping up. It’s all about Sergeant Murchinson, a man who Jamie had beef with. The guy wasn’t as squeaky clean as he would have liked people to believe.

Of course, there was no way this chapter could be completely avoided in the TV series. We needed to see Brianna face Bonnet and forgive him. It was important for her to move forward in her life.

However, there were some substantial changes. The changes didn’t disrupt the overall storyline, and I actually enjoyed them. From a show-only or show-first perspective, the changes helped developed a severely underused character on the series.

The chapter is the last of Part Eleven. After this, all the chapters are relatively short, and we’re closing in on the end of Drums of Autumn.

Let’s dive into Drums of Autumn Chapter 62.
