Outlander Season 6 spoilers: The Christies have been cast

We knew the Christie family would show up in Outlander Season 6. Now it’s time to find out who will play the three characters.

The Christies will certainly cause some problems for the Frasers in A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Whether you like the family or not, they are going to pop up in Outlander Season 6. That was confirmed earlier in the year, and now we know who will bring the three characters to life.

Yes, three. Tom Christie and Malva Christie have the bigger roles, but we can’t forget everything Allan Christie does. All three will be part of the show.

Outlander announced the casting through a series of videos on Twitter, starting with Papa Christie.

Mark Lewis Jones joins Outlander Season 6

Richard Rankin appeared in the video to introduce Mark Lewis Jones as the patriarch of the family. From there, Jones shared a little bit about his character, who is not on good terms with Jamie Fraser. The two were at Ardsmuir together, but that doesn’t make them best of friends.

Many will remember Jones in Keeping Faith, the Welsh legal/crime drama that was done in two languages. Yes, Jones is Welsh, but it turns out he also does a very convincing Scottish accent, and we can’t wait to hear that. By the way, the final season premieres in the UK on March 27 and in the US on April 12.

Jessica Reynolds plays Malva Christie

The next person introduced was Jessica Reynolds, who will play Malva Christie in Outlander Season 6. It’s only fitting that Caitriona Balfe was the one to introduce the actress as Claire and Malva share a lot of time together.

One thing we learn in the video is that there’s an opening for Claire’s apprentice. Marsali is no longer going to take that role. Malva takes it because she wants to make a life for herself and step out from her family’s shadow.

And then it all goes terribly wrong.

Alexander Vlahos’s role finally confirmed

We knew Vlahos potentially had a role in Outlander Season 6. He’d headed to Scotland to film around the time that filming started back up. Of course, we couldn’t help but speculate things, and Allan Christie did come up as a possible character.

That’s exactly who he’s going to play. Sophie Skelton is the one to introduce him to the fandom, handing it over to Vlahos to talk about Allan a little.

Will the actor be able to make the character a little more likable? That’s a question for many who adored him in other roles.
