Outlander Book Club: Drums of Autumn Chapter 31 breakdown
Roger heads to Inverness to get to Brianna in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 31
After realizing that Brianna is likely going through the stones, Roger heads up the motorways to Inverness in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 31.
It’s clear that he’s too late to stop Brianna. She planned everything to make sure nobody could stop her. However, that’s not going to prevent Roger from going through with his plan. He knows how dangerous the 18th century is, and he needs to get to Brianna before something happens to her.
Before that happens, he needs to figure out if she’s really gone through the stones. He also needs to figure out what he needs and how it’s possible.
This is the moment we find out Fiona knows more than she’s ever let on, and it’s not because she overheard things. I love the way Fiona knows, connecting all the way back to the very first book.
It wasn’t a chapter used in the show, not fully. Fiona’s revelation of information was done differently, but she did at least accompany Roger to the stones.
Let’s dive straight into this short chapter from Drums of Autumn.
