Lord John Grey comes down with measles in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 26

Claire gets a new patient in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 26, and it’s not a patient she would have liked to have.

Of course, Claire would never want anyone to get sick. Nor would she ever refuse treatment for someone. However, that doesn’t stop her begrudging the fact that someone she doesn’t like needs her help.

Lord John Grey is sick with measles. Why doesn’t Claire like him? That’s something she works out during the chapter. I continue not to really get her jealousy of Lord John Grey, but it is what it is. I guess part of me prefers the book because there is more of an understanding developed between Lord John Grey and Claire during this part of the story than I feel there is in the book.

This is an important chapter, though. We see Claire at work, but the whole thing with the measles has a bigger storyline in the chapters to come. So it’s important to pay attention. Of course, it was also essential that this storyline was included in the TV series.

It’s a relatively short chapter compared to most of the recent ones, coming in at just 30 minutes on Audible. Let’s dive into Drums of Autumn Chapter 26.
