Men in Kilts brought us an awesome cookalong before the premiere
If you missed the Men in Kilts cookalong on Feb. 14, don’t worry! STARZ has the video so you can watch it any time you want.
The Men in Kilts premiere was excellent, but we have to admit there was something special about the cookalong that aired live on YouTube, Instagram, and other social media channels. Sam Heughan was in the kitchen with Chef Tony Singh, while Graham McTavish joined virtually from his own kitchen.
There was plenty of banter between everyone. Even Tony got involved in some of the banter between the two Men in Kilts co-hosts.
Together, they made a range of Scottish delicacies. The best? It has to be the shortbread, which is the recipe Tony started with.
Shortbread is not the easiest biscuit to make. Tony does explain why the biscuit is known as “short” bread, and it’s all to do with the crispiness. Every day is a school day!

The video is now available to watch on the STARZ YouTube channel. There is plenty of banter between Sam and Graham, giving us just a hint of the banter between the two on the series. It is a shame that Graham couldn’t be there in person.
Of course, because the Men in Kilts cookalong aired live on Valentine’s Day, the shortbread was cut into hearts. Sam even marked one of the hearts with the name of a loved one. Who would that loved one be?
As well as making the shortbread, Tony showed how to make Honey and Whisky Fool. It was the perfect addition to the shortbread. Tony does explain why folding is necessary compared to beating when it comes to the creamy dish.
STARZ is certainly trying to help us through Droughtlander with content. The Men in Kilts cookalong is just part of that.
Men in Kilts airs Sundays at 9/8c on STARZ.
