Jamie and Claire head out with others to get Pollyanne to safety in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 14

Claire and Jamie need to get Pollyanne to safety, and they have John Quincy Myers to help during Outlander Book 4, Chapter 14. It’s time to delve into the events of the chapter.

It shouldn’t be all that surprising to hear that this entire chapter was skipped over in the TV series. At least, the Pollyanne part of the chapter was. She didn’t come up in Outlander Season 4 at all, so there was no way she could be part of this journey.

However, John Quincy Myers did join Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian on the trip through the backcountry. The aim was for the Frasers to get to Wilmington and start a new life, but they ended up finding a home.

I’ll get into the changes and what I thought about them in the adaptation section of the posts. Spoiler: I actually didn’t mind the changes.

As for foreshadowing, there isn’t too much within the chapter. This part is mostly focused on Young Ian’s future storyline.

Let’s delve into Drums of Autumn Chapter 14.
