Jamie, Claire, and Young Ian head to River Run in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 8

After selling the ruby, Claire and Jamie are able to head over to River Run in Outlander Book 4, Chapter 8.

It’s an important chapter, setting things up for the next few chapters. We get to hear a little about Jocasta Cameron, but there are also hints of things to come. It involves a bit of foreshadowing within the chapter, although some of that wouldn’t be clear at first.

There is a romantic moment at the end of the chapter. Jamie has a gift for Claire, marking an occasion they haven’t really been able to mark at all in the last 20 years.

Of course, there was no way the TV series would be able to overlook this chapter. The important moments are included, although the chapter is kept to a minimum. There just wasn’t the time to enjoy the journey down the river, and not because Jamie hates boats!

This is about the average length for a Drums of Autumn chapter, coming in at about 50 minutes in length.

Let’s dive into Drums of Autumn Chapter 8.
