Steven Cree is in A Discovery of Witches Season 2, but did he appear in the premiere?

We know Steven Cree plays Gallowglass in A Discovery of Witches Season 2. The season has now premiered, but was our Outlander actor involved in the first episode of the season?

Without giving away a lot of spoilers for the episode, A Discovery of Witches Season 2 picked up where the Season 1 finale left us. Diana and Matthew stepped into the past in an attempt to find the Book of Life. Immediately, Matthew found clothing for them to wear and someone who would be able to teach Diana how to use her magic.

We also got to know a little more about Matthew’s past, including his position in Queen Elizabeth I’s court. We also found out what would happen to the Matthew of the time when the Matthew of the future appeared.

Would Gallowglass be involved in those storylines at all?

Steven Cree doesn’t appear in A Discovery of Witches Season 2 premiere

Sadly for Outlander fans, Cree’s character, Gallowglass, doesn’t appear in the premiere. That doesn’t mean the show isn’t worth watching. There are some excellent threads of the story developing, setting up the storyline for Gallowglass to turn up.

It shouldn’t be too long before Steven Cree appears. After all, Gallowglass turns up in Shadow of Night in chapter 5. We’re getting close to that point in the story within the TV show.

If the show follows the books closely enough, Gallowglass will immediately capture our hearts. He storms into the story and his sense of humor shows. This is a character to get excited about even for those who aren’t watching for Steven Cree because he was in Outlander.
