When will Outlander Season 5 come to Netflix U.S.?
We have a projected date for Outlander Season 5 on Netflix U.S.
Outlander Season 4 is finally coming to Netflix U.S. We have to wait until the end of this month, but at least it’s happening. Now fans want to know when Outlander Season 5 will be available on the streaming site.
With the release of Season 4, we get an idea of the way the licensing deal is working. It offers us a chance to properly project the Outlander Season 5 release date on Netflix U.S.
Two years after the finales
Based on the release of Outlander Season 3 and Season 4 on Netflix, we’re looking at two years after the finale dates.
Season 3’s finale aired on Dec. 10, 2017, and the full season arrived on Netflix on Dec. 10, 2019.
Season 4’s finale aired on Jan. 27, 2019, and the full season will arrive on Netflix U.S. on Jan. 27, 2021.
With that in mind, we’re looking at 2022 as the time that Season 5 will come to Netflix U.S. More specifically, we’re looking at May 10, 2022.
It is certainly going to be a long wait. The good news is STARZ continues to hold all five seasons. If you have only caught the show on Netflix so far, grab a STARZ subscription and catch up.
Will Outlander remain on Netflix?
Something to remember is that Netflix is only licensing the content right now. The former STARZ CEO Chris Albrecht did a deal, knowing that putting the show on Netflix would get it in front of more eyeballs.
It has certainly worked.
However, the current CEO, Jeremy Hirsch, isn’t as happy about the show being on Netflix as he arguably should. He wants to keep viewers on STARZ.
Once this current contract runs out, it’s possible that the series will leave Netflix U.S. We’ll be sure to let you know if that ever happens to make sure you have enough warning. At least you can get the first four seasons for now, and hopefully, it doesn’t happen before Season 5 has a chance to air on the streamer.
Outlander Season 5 is likely to come to Netflix U.S. on May 10, 2022.
