Is the Men in Kilts premiere on Valentine’s Day 2021?

A recent promo is causing speculation on social media about the possible Men in Kilts premiere date

We already know Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham will be released in early 2021. Some eagle-eyed fans spotted a promo on the Starz channel that shows a possible premiere date for the first time—Sunday, Feb. 14, aka Valentine’s Day 2021.

Many have shared a screenshot of the possible air date. Check out a tweet from one Twitter account.

Did Starz release the promo by mistake?

While the promo aired on the official Starz channel, neither the network nor the official Men in Kilts social media accounts have confirmed the possible premiere date.

It’s not clear if Starz meant to share this promo yet or if it was released by mistake. Starz has made this error before. Back before we knew the official premiere date for Outlander Season 4, the network posted a Season 4 promo on their Facebook page with its release date at the end, but didn’t release a statement confirming the Nov. release (it turned out it was the correct release date).

Could they have made the same mistake again?

If they make an official announcement soon, then it’s most likely the promo on the channel wasn’t a mistake. If they don’t make an official statement for longer than that, then it’s possible the promo did air accidentally.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean the premiere date is wrong. The mistake could be that the network aired the promo earlier than planned. We won’t know anything for sure until we get official word from Starz.

Either way, it’s obvious by now that nothing can get past Outlander fans!

A Valentine’s gift

Of course, we all hope the premiere date is correct. Those who have read Clanlands and/or listened to the audiobook have already gotten a sense of the shenanigans Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish get up to and the humor between the two. It’s going to be so fun to see on our screens!

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Feb. 14 premiere date is correct, especially since it would make a very nice Valentine’s gift to us Outlander fans. Last year Outlander Season 5 also premiered on the Starz app on Friday, Feb. 14, and then aired on the channel on Sunday, Feb. 16. So it does make sense if the Men in Kilts premiere date aligned with the holiday of love.

Whether this is the right date or not, I think we’re going to get the new series very soon. And with Outlander season 6 filming still delayed, the new show will certainly give us some relief during Droughtlander!
