Claire and Jamie head back to Rose Hall at night to search for Young Ian in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 61. They don’t quite get what they’re expecting.

This chapter wraps a couple of other storylines up. For me, they were a little anticlimactically wrapped up. Things just didn’t work in the way they did in Dragonfly in Amber with the wrap-up of the rape in Paris storyline. It’s a storyline that didn’t make it into the TV show, and I’m not disappointed in that.

However, there is a storyline that sort of made it into the show. During the chapter, Claire witnesses Margaret Campbell connect with spirits and people out of time. This is when Jamie catches up to her, leading to them connecting to a special someone.

The chapter overall is on the longer side, coming in at an-hour-and-30-minutes long. It’s the longest chapter of this final section, as we finish up the search for Young Ian. Will Claire and Jamie get to him in time?
