Outlander Book Club: Voyager Chapter 58 breakdown

Everyone attends the Governor’s Ball in Jamaica in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 58

Claire and Jamie head to the Governor’s Ball in hope of getting help to find Young Ian in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 58.

At this point in the story, it’s hard to put the book down. Claire starts to learn a lot about Jamie’s past when they were separated from each other, while there’s a murder mystery to solve at the end. And we know with just five chapters to go after this, we’re getting closer to finding Young Ian. At least, the first time reading this, we hoped the Frasers were closer to finding him (alive).

The chapter reunites Lord John Grey and Jamie in this chapter. I’ll admit that I preferred seeing it all play out on the screen, though. The book only gives us Claire’s POV, which leads to her asking herself a lot of questions about Jamie. However, we know what the friendship is between the two men, so it kind of seems a little pointless to have this. At least, for me it does.

However, it ends with something shocking. It’s time to bring that murder storyline from back in Edinburgh up.
