Star Force 3: Part 2 is here!

Everyone’s favorite “sci-fisolation” spoof webseries is back with Star Force 3: Part 2

Caution: Some spoilers for Star Force 3.

Star Force is back—with a vengeance!  The home-taped sci-fi sensation stars Caitriona Balfe and Steven Cree from Outlander along with James McAvoy, Kit Harington, and Florence Pugh.  Yes, the real ones.

The Guardian ran an article on Star Force on Dec. 14, calling it a “surprise smash.”  They talked to creators Kevin Mains, Ross Mains, and Brendan O’Rourke along with some of the cast about how the series came about and the filming process, which is more complicated than it might seem.

James McAvoy plays the Captain of the Star Force crew, which includes Second in Command (Balfe), Blorg (Cree), Sandra, Angus, and Pilot.  In previous episodes they’ve come up against Captain’s evil clone, an evil sheriff played by Sam Heughan, and the diabolical scientist Flurgzool (Harington in a bathrobe).

Star Force 3: Part 2 picks up where Part 1 left off, with Captain captured by the evil Flurgzool

Picking up where Part 1 left, Flurgzool initiates the Death Force, his “army of puppets” comprised of the former Star Force crew.  You can tell they’re evil now by the Ds on their chests and the rings taped to their foreheads.  Flurgzool disposes of Captain’s clone and, with Evil Blorg’s help, converts the real Captain to his control.

Meanwhile, on the Star Force command center, Evil Angus is trying to convert Second in Command, but Steve (Pugh) shows up just in time to save her.  They come up with a plan to save the crew, and Second in Command, with a hair tie “ring” on her head, asks Flurgzool to beam aboard.

Can the Star Force crew be saved?  Will Flurgzool see through the rescue plan?  Is Steve as helpful as she seems?  Can Steven Cree’s legs get any bigger?!  You’ll have to watch to find out.  Well, except for that last one.  Thankfully, the ending leaves things wide open for a Star Force 4.
