When Claire wakes from a nap, she realizes she has to use some of her precious penicillin in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 56. She and Jamie also have the chance to talk about the future.

This chapter is a favorite for many. All I have to say is the title of the chapter is “Turtle Soup,” and I’m sure there will be plenty of readers instantly knowing every single detail of the chapter. At least, every single detail of the end.

While the bulk of the chapter wasn’t used on the TV show, the important parts were. We were a little spoiled with the initial title for Outlander Season 3, Episode 11. It was originally titled “Turtle Soup” but later changed to “Uncharted.”

The idea of the change came a little too late to prevent fans figuring out what would happen in the episode. However, it didn’t disappoint at the end.

This chapter also includes a little foreshadowing if you don’t rush through the words to get to the end. There is a lot of talk about what’s to come, with hints of where the journey would end up going.
