Claire and Jamie are reunited in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 52

We get to the last chapter of Part Eight in Voyager, and it ends the part with a little bit of calm. Claire and Jamie are reunited in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 52.

The reunion is very different to the one the show offered. I will certainly get to my thoughts on why things were changed, but I’ll admit now that I prefer the show’s way of handling things. Sometimes there’s just a little too much drama in the books, and it can feel like it’s for the sake of it. This is one of those cases for me.

That being send, the ending to the chapter is one of my favorites. It makes Fergus an official Fraser and gives us a chance to enjoy an amusing, unconventional wedding. Are there ever any weddings that go as planned or as expected in the world of Outlander?

It’s the ending that was used pretty much word for word. Sometimes, I feel there’s a little more emotion in the show, but that’s due to the way the show tells the story from the third person rather than just through Claire’s (or whoever the subject is) eyes.

However, while there is a calm, there’s still a storm ahead. Claire and Jamie need to get back on with the search for Young Ian.
