What we know about Sera-Lys McArthur’s new series so far

We love to keep an eye on the projects the former and current Outlander actors are working on. Sera-Lys McArthur has caught our eye as she shared updates about a new series she’s working on.

Outlander fans will remember McArthur’s role as Johiehon during Season 4. She was the one that passed her baby to one of her tribe members and then stepped into the flames as they consumed the priest. It was a heartbreaking scene, and we knew right then that (despite having a career for more than a decade up to that point) we had to keep an eye out for her.

Recently, we’ve watched McArthur take on a role that touches on systemic racism in Canada on Burden of Truth. Now, she’ll get to play the role of a cop.

Sera-Lys McArthur shared updates on her Facebook to let us know that she was filming again. What do we know so far?

She’s a cop in a comedy

We don’t know much. Right now, McArthur hasn’t been able to share the name of the show, but we do know that it’s a CBC/NBCUniversal comedy series. Filming is taking place in Toronto.

It’s the first time she’s “officially” playing a cop. We got a look at the uniform, which has the Canadian flag. So, not only is this series filmed in Canada but it’s set there, too.

That still doesn’t help narrow things down! All we know is we’re excited that there’s a new Canadian series on its way, and we hope that it is picked up by a U.S. network somewhere. Being an NBCUniversal series as well as CBC, there’s a lot of hope NBC (or maybe USA/SYFY/another child network) will pick it up.
