5 best Jamie moments from Outlander Season 3, Episode 11
Jamie’s five standout moments from Outlander Season 3, Episode 11
Jamie was only in about half of Outlander Season 3, Episode 11, but that didn’t stop him from having some excellent moments. He showed off the type of leader he is, while also reuniting with Claire on the beach.
There were some great moments overall throughout the episode. I especially love the mention of how Claire just drops out of the sky. But, this is all about Jamie and his top moments during “Uncharted.”
Fun fact, the episode was originally called “Turtle Soup,” but the EPs realized it would give everything away to those who had read the books.
Knowing everyone’s abilities and skills
Jamie is a good leader. He knows who is best at each job whenever it comes to a situation. We see that during Outlander Season 3, Episode 11.
The Artemis has suffered damage in a storm. Captain Raines and some others have died, meaning Jamie has to step up as a leader. Parts of the ship need fixing, including the sail. He knows there’s one person who will be good to fix the sail: Marsali.
Racing to Claire across the beach
Jamie and the others are back on the Artemis by the time Claire gets to the beach. She finds a way to get his attention. And while it’s probably not likely the mirror would have worked, this is the world of TV where it does. Jamie sees Claire and gets back to land.
We see him race across the beach to Claire. All he’s wanted is to reunite with her, and we see that as he races to her.
Admitting Fergus loves Marsali
Jamie catches Claire up on everything that happened while Yi Tien Cho fixes Claire’s arm. It’s during this time that he tells Claire that he gave Fergus and Marsali’s his blessing.
It’s more than just giving his blessing, though. During this moment, Jamie admits to Claire that Fergus loves Marsali the way he loves Claire. He knows Claire will understand that.
Giving Fergus his name
Jamie wants to get Fergus and Marsali married as soon as possible. That’s possible on the island thanks to the priest that saved Claire. However, they run into a problem. Fergus doesn’t have a last name.
Jamie fixes that. After 20 years of Fergus being like a son to Jamie, Jamie makes it official. He gives Fergus his name.
Not being able to stab Claire with the needle
Finally, we get the moment on the ship. It’s a fun moment for book fans, something that many had been waiting for. While I love the whole scene, I’ve got to admit that Jamie’s inability to stab Claire with the needle is a favorite for me.
Jamie isn’t a doctor. While he is a leader of men and would probably do what is needed for them, he doesn’t like to intentionally cause pain to his wife. He’s such a softy at times, and I love him for that.
