Duncan Lacroix reveals his signature drink, most challenging role, and more

A rapid-fire Q&A with Duncan Lacroix provides some lighthearted Droughtlander relief

Do you have any burning questions you’d like to ask Duncan Lacroix?  The Outlander Twitter account provided us with some answers on Nov. 11 with a short video from the man who played our favorite curmudgeonly godfather—Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser.

I’ve always found Duncan Lacroix to be one of the more enigmatic members of the Outlander cast, but in this video we got to see his fun-loving side.  His answers were succinct and quick-witted.  He never hesitated for a second.  Kudos to Starz for giving us this chance to get to know him a little better.

When asked about a business he’d like to own, Duncan opted for a “beach bar in Thailand,” where he’d presumably serve his signature drink—”everything.”  In their book Clanlands, Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish suggested that Lacroix is a bit of a party animal so that’s not too surprising.

Not all of Duncan’s answers were totally glib.  The Starz PR team asked him about what he’d like to learn.  He said “[he’d] spend all [his] time learning languages if [he] could.”  A man after my own heart!

Lacroix does have something of the scholar about him.  I did a virtual chat with him a couple months ago, and he told us he’s been working on a degree in philosophy and psychology during lockdown.

I really enjoy these rapid-fire Q&A sessions and the glimpses they afford us of our favorite Outlander actors.  I have a new appreciation for Duncan Lacroix, and how can you not like a guy who wants his life narrated by Mickey Mouse?
