Clanlands tops multiple bestseller lists

Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish’s book, Clanlands, is now a bestseller

Unless you’ve been living under a rock out in Outlander Land, you’ve probably heard that Sam and Graham’s new book came out on Nov. 3.  The book is entitled Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other.

Clanlands as a book is many things.  It is an adventure through Scotland, as the title suggests.  There are tons of stories from the authors’ lives and time on Outlander.  There’s history; there’s a bit of whisky, and there’s the endearing friendship between the actors who play our beloved Jamie Fraser and Dougal MacKenzie.  The banter between these two is hilarious and not to be missed.  I highly recommend listening to the audiobook!

The fan response to Clanlands has been overwhelmingly positive so far.  This bodes well for the book’s companion show, Men in Kilts, which is coming to Starz next year.

Sam Heughan took to Instagram on Nov 13 to report that Clanlands topped the New York Times bestseller list in the nonfiction category.  He was “delighted and shocked” at this development.

Later that evening Sam posted a video of him celebrating with Graham and revealed Clanlands had made it to even more bestseller lists, including USA Today and Publisher’s Weekly.  The audiobook is even #2 on Audible!  They also offered up five more signed copies of the book to people who tag their friends.  Graham had a bit of trouble with the concept of tagging: “Do you chase them?”
