It was the moment we were all waiting for. Claire and Jamie reunited in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 24.

This is a favorite chapter for many readers. Their reunion is just so sweet. We get to see how nervous they both are, even when it’s told just from Claire’s point of view. Claire is so vivid in the way she describes Jamie’s actions and looks.

Jamie doesn’t just see Claire for the first time in 20 years. He has the chance to find out about Brianna, and that’s all the focus is on during this chapter unlike the TV show. I actually liked how the TV show mentioned all three of Jamie’s children at this point, and I’ll get to that in the adaptation breakdown.

The first chapter of Part Six is back to the normal length for most Voyager chapters. We’re at the hour mark on Audible, and it’s packed full of description and information. This is simply one of those chapters that needed to be this long, but not all of it was necessary for the TV series.

My only wish would be that some of the chapter was told from Jamie’s point of view. I would love to have heard more of his thoughts directly from him.
