5 best Jamie moments from Outlander Season 3, Episode 6
Jamie’s standout moments from Outlander Season 3, Episode 6
Outlander Season 3, Episode 6 was the episode we had all been waiting for. Claire and Jamie reunited, bringing some of the best moments for the couple together.
On the anniversary of the episode, we’re looking back at Jamie’s best moments. They certainly involve Claire in some cases, but there are others that are just Jamie alone. Let’s not waste time with the intro and delve straight into Jamie’s best moments from Outlander Season 3, Episode 6.
What I will say is that some of the most romantic moments, some of the best Claire and Jamie moments together won’t make this list. This is about Jamie and not him with Claire. Just keep that in mind before you scream at me for not including some major Claire and Jamie moments.
Trusting Hayes and Leslie with his life but not theirs
The beginning of the episode takes us a few hours before Claire shows up at the end of Outlander Season 3, Episode 5. We see what Jamie did that morning, which leads to Leslie and Hayes showing up again. They were in Ardsmuir Prison with Jamie. Even if you didn’t remember them in that episode, the “Mac Dubh” would tell you that.
Jamie has an excellent moment where he makes it clear that he trusts the men with his life. He fought beside them and knows them well. However, he also knows that they aren’t always the most switched-on people and he doesn’t trust them with their own lives.
Jamie’s nervousness
Throughout the episode, we see moments of nervousness from Jamie. It’s like the wedding night in various moments. However, the moment that really stands out for me is when Claire first shows up after he faints. He is nervous around her, not even wanting her to watch him change.
Sometimes, it’s hard to remember that they’ve been separated for 20 years. After all, that time hasn’t passed for us. But the nervousness is just so natural for the situation.

Telling Claire about Willie
One of the things I disliked about Voyager was Jamie not telling Claire about Willie right away. For me, it told me that Jamie didn’t trust Claire with this piece of information. Sure, he never thought he’d see Willie or John again, but it was something so important to him and he couldn’t tell his wife.
The show rectified that. As Claire showed the photos of Bree, all three of Jamie’s children were mentioned. He thought about Faith, and then he thought about Willie. It was only natural for the conversation to move onto him.
Wanting to know why Claire has returned
When he takes Claire to his room at the brothel, he wants to know why she’s returned. We get this sense of fear in him during Outlander Season 3, Episode 6. He is scared to get too close to her now in case she’s going to leave him again, scared that she’s only brought word of their daughter and that’s it.
Jamie doesn’t often show his fears or worries. I’m so glad we get that in this moment.
Telling Claire about his business
After the initial time in the bed together, Jamie and Claire speak about the past. Jamie catches Claire up with the things that happened to him, including telling her what he’s doing now.
Similarly to the Willie moment, it’s all about trust. We see that Jamie knows that he can trust Claire to keep a secret. He also refuses to lie to her, keeping that promise of secrets but no lies. Of course, there are still a few secrets he’s not shared.
