Claire’s standout moments from Outlander Season 3, Episode 6
Claire and Jamie reunited on Outlander Season 3, Episode 6. It was the moment we’d all been waiting for, and it didn’t disappoint.
To mark the anniversary of the episode, we’re back to looking at Claire and Jamie’s best moments. First up is Claire, who wasn’t too certain after seeing where Jamie was sleeping. However, there’s no way we can’t love the reunion scene.
This post is about Claire’s best moments. It’s not about Claire and Jamie together, although some of the moments from this episode certainly do make our 25 best Claire and Jamie moments on the show ever. Just keep that in mind before jumping down my neck for including some of the more romantic moments from the episode.
Here are Claire’s best moments from Outlander Season 3, Episode 6.
Showing Jamie the photos of Brianna
Once Claire helps Jamie get over the initial shock of her return, the conversation moves onto Brianna. He wants to know about her, and Claire has the perfect way to do that. She shows him photos of her.
It’s a chance to bring the future to him, but also a chance for him to see Brianna at various stages of her life. I know there are some who judge her decision to include the photo of Bree in the bikini, but it shows who Bree is in her time. You can’t overlook that huge smile she has, and surely Jamie wants to see his daughter happy.
Seeing Fergus again
After showing the photos and learning about Willie, Claire goes with Jamie to his latest engagement. That gets us to the streets, where Fergus is waiting for Jamie. There’s a wonderful reunion for both Claire and Fergus. She thought she’d never see Fergus again, and he thought Claire was dead.
Claire doesn’t miss the wooden hand. It’s a chance for her to remember just how much she’s missed over 20 years.
Getting to know Mr. Willoughby
While Jamie sorts out his business in the tavern, Claire is left with Mr. Willoughby. We don’t see much of the conversation, but it’s clear that there’s a friendship striking up.
Claire is so respectful of him. I adore that she calls him by his real name at the end of the scene. I understand why Jamie chose to give him a more anglicized name in the time, but it’s just another way of stripping Yi Tien Cho of his identity.
Meeting Young Ian
After the night with Jamie, Claire remains in the room at the brothel while Jamie attends to business. Young Ian shows up looking for Jamie, which is when the two get to meet. It’s such a sweet meeting.
There’s a part that stands out, especially since watching Outlander Season 5. Young Ian recounts the tale of the story that she’s a fairy. When he finally learns the truth about time travel, he immediately thinks again that she’s a fairy.

Breakfast with the ladies
When Young Ian leaves, Claire heads downstairs for breakfast. The other working women believe she’s just like them, but the newest one. There are a few comments about her age, but overall, they’re friendly women. It’s clear there’s no competition in the brothel.
Of course, Madame Jeanne isn’t happy that Claire is with the women. She’s sure that Jamie won’t be happy about that, so Claire is sent back to her room.
