Claire, Roger, and Bree continue to search for Jamie in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 7

Outlander Book 3, Chapter 7 takes us back to 1968. Claire, Roger, and Brianna continue to look for Jamie in the historical records.

It is one of those important chapters in Claire’s story. We get a chance to see the research continue, while also getting another flashback of Claire’s time with Frank. There’s a chance to see how Frank and Claire co-parented and supported each other. Frank even helped Claire continue her studies at medical school.

Some of this chapter didn’t get adapted into the TV series. However, the show did find a way to give us a look at Claire and Frank’s relationship through the 1950s and 1960s. We got a chance to see how they tried to co-parent a little. I’ve always wished that there was more time to see their story, but there was little time and so many fans were more bothered about Jamie and Claire reuniting instead of seeing these 20 years play out.

The chapter itself is about the average length of Voyager chapters, coming in at about 46 minutes. It’s packed with information and theories, although we’d already seen it play out from Jamie’s chapter previously. It is fun to see how the past and the present combine with theories and the truth.

Let’s break down the Voyager chapter.
