Claire comes to terms with Jamie’s survival in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 2

We jump to 1968 in Outlander Book 3, Chapter 2. The Voyager chapter sees Claire come to terms with the fact that Jamie survived Culloden.

It’s not something she wants to believe at first. She was so certain that her husband went off to die. It was something he wanted to do after getting his men to safety. However, it seems he failed in doing that.

Of course, by now, we’ve seen how he failed. It was all because of one English officer who wasn’t willing to ignore a family debt. There was no way for Claire to ever know that without hearing about it from Jamie.

The chapter was partially used in the TV series, but not in the order that we got it. This was something held until just before we see Claire go to the past, allowing the third season to tell Jamie and Claire’s individual stories in chronological order.

It’s a relatively short chapter, but that doesn’t stop it from being important. After all, this is the point where Brianna is willing to accept the truth, and she wants to know more about the man who is her biological father.

Let’s get into the Voyager Chapter 2 breakdown.
