Today is Maria Doyle Kennedy’s birthday. We love to celebrate birthdays by looking back at the Outlander characters. So, today, it’s all about Jocasta.

Jocasta MacKenzie Cameron Innes certainly stole our hearts at times. However, she also had us questioning her motives and actions. There were some standout moments throughout the two seasons we’ve got to see her.

But this post is all about her Outlander Season 5 moments. What were Jocasta’s five best moments?

Sneaking a night with her lover

While Brianna and Roger celebrated their wedding, Jocasta and Murtagh arranged a night together. It would be their last night, but it certainly showed her love for this man.

Jocasta isn’t one to show her heart. She hints and waits to see what others’ intentions are. In this night with her lover, she waits to see what Murtagh’s reaction is to Duncan Innes proposing marriage, and you can see the disappointment on her face when Murtagh doesn’t put up a fight.

I just thought this was a lovely way to start the story, but it made it clear there was heartbreak to come.
