We head back to 1968  in Outlander Book 2, Chapter 47

Outlander Book 2, Chapter 47 starts the seventh and final part of the novel. We’re back in 1968, with three chapters including this one.

This chapter picks up with Claire finishing her story to Brianna and Roger. It’s clear that everything she’s mentioned throughout the second book and possibly even the first book is her story to the two of them, sharing the information about her trip to the past.

The reaction isn’t quite what she expected, but it was naturally for Brianna. The poor girl had just learned her mother had lied to her for 20 years. Understanding reasons or not, it hurt, and Brianna reacted the exact way that I’d expect her to.

As for Roger, he wasn’t sure what to believe. However, he does believe some of the story, and he learns a few truths of his own.

This is an essential part of the chapter. It was used for the TV series, but adapted slightly differently for the sake of time and the use of particular characters we’d already come to know and somewhat love in the Outlander story.

As for the chapter itself, it’s an average length one. It also includes a little foreshadowing of things to come before the end.

Let’s get into the breakdown of Dragonfly in Amber Chapter 47.
