Claire goes through the stones in Outlander Book 2, Chapter 46

We start our final week of breaking down Dragonfly in Amber. It’s a week we didn’t really want to come to, but a week that is necessary for the rest of the story to continue. Outlander Book 2, Chapter 46 sees Claire go back through the stones.

This was something Claire wanted three years earlier. She’d fallen through time by mistake and just wanted to get back to Frank. Now, she was going back to Frank despite wanting to die at Culloden with Jamie.

It’s a bittersweet chapter, but also holds a lot of hope. After all, 20 years later, the two will find their way back to each other.

It’s also an essential chapter. There’s no way the TV series would have gotten away with skipping this chapter entirely. Some of the chapter was adapted to suit the characters that were still around and the sets needed, but for the most part, the story was the same.

For those wondering on the length, it’s one of the longer chapters of the book. It comes in at around one-hour-and-15-minutes on Audible. You’ll want to read/listen to every bit.

Here’s our breakdown of Dragonfly in Amber Chapter 46.
